Week 3: Reflections on Synchronicity and Connectivity
This whole last week, after physics class, I've been opening up more to synchronicity. Letting go of skepticism (light but still there) and opening up my mind to the universe in a new way, I found the questions I've been asking for a long time answered by old and new friends. The things in I've I had even yearning for came up to the forefront of my life, and contentment has become more prominent. I also found a deeper trust for myself and a stronger ability to be vulnerable. My anxiety and depression seem to have completely subsided, and though I know acupuncture treatments are helping and I also haven't been drinking coffee, I can tell that I have a completely different approach to engaging with life. A synchronistic thing happened last week: I saw this quote from Albert Einstein come up: twice of social media, once in physics class, and two of my friends mentioned in in conversation - "No problem can be solved at the same level of consciousness that created it." So I've been keeping this wisdom in my mind, chewing it over at least one a day, and I realized that there are different dimensions of reality. Especially taking into account different perspectives and varying thought processes, I can picture our minds creating this web of thought and imagination that allow us to interact and connect while immersed in the larger body of consciousness. And the kicker is, we can shift what we think about and how we respond to our emotions so that we can elevate ourselves and each other. We need to change our approach to our problems, and we need to consider that what we need to do that might be something we've never thought of before. We need to be open to creative adjustment.
I've been thinking a lot about the power of our minds and how our intentions, when clear and engaged, allow a more integrated connection with the universe. Like the idea of quantum entanglement develops into an actual part of reality that one can participate in. There's something really magical about synchronicity. Everything from how Carl Jung developed the theory to the little blips of psychic experiences we have on a daily basis are evidence that everything is connected. One can see that intention combined with synchronicity can lead to some incredible experiences that leave us dumb and awe-struck by the mystery of the universe. I wonder what this means about the relationship between free will and fate, as well as the practices of the law of attraction and the cycles of poverty. I could go into this more, but I want to focus more on what happens when you choose to engage with universe on that level. We should consider random, seemingly acausal coincidences and establish meaning and lessons from them, because they can range from thinking of someone and them texting you to a golden scrab flying into a room when your client had just finished telling you they dreamed of a golden scrab the night before. Quantum entanglement is a web of interaction, interdependence, and mutual influence.
Nothing exists in isolation. Nobody is truly alone. The next couple weeks I want to experiment more with being more open to synchronicity and trusting the universe. I've been meeting the people who I've been needing to for a long time, and it was after ending a relationship. There is real freedom from letting go of old patterns for the sake of a different, healthier state of mind and body. I'm definitely enjoying this current trajectory - a significant decrease in worrying and dramatic increase in meaningful social interactions. There is so much to be said about the spiritual and healing implications of metaphysics.
